Principal's Message

Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to the John F. Kennedy Junior High School 2022-23, Home of the Knights! Our school is proud to offer a high-quality, well-rounded education for your 7th and 8th grade student as well as a clean, safe learning environment. We have an abundance of extra-curricular activities. Hopefully your student can find or has found something on our campus that will help them connect to JFK. We offer a variety of Clubs such as Community Leadership, Stand for the Silent Club, Multi-Cultural Club, and Leadership. These are great avenues to building a connection at JFK.  We also offer a wide variety of athletic teams as well as three different award winning band programs.

The staff at JFK take their job seriously and understand we have two years to prepare your student for a successful transition into high school. With parental support and student willingness to come every day, work hard and be good, this job becomes much easier. Please view the school website for communication about upcoming events, programs, and sporting events as well as check our posts on Parent Square. There will also be updated photos of students & staff participating in the wide variety of events we have here at JFK from time to time on the HESD Facebook Page.

Remember, as a parent, you are able to view your child's progress through our Parent Vue program. You should receive a flyer, in the mail, that outlines how this program can be accessed and its different features. If you did not receive this, please come in or call and we will make sure you have what you need to view this program.

Here’s to another great school year as JFK KNIGHTS! We look forward to serving you and your student. If you have questions or need anything, please call or email any staff member.

Thank you,

Rick Johnston
Principal/JFK

GO KNIGHTS!
